Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, on the 11th of November in 1966. She is a model and an Irish actress. She made her debut in a feature film with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to portray the anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was approached by a photographer who asked her to model. Doody then began to build a career of commercial modelling. Doody was very cautious about doing glamour or nude work. The same rule continued into the acting profession. After receiving notice from the directors who were casting a James Bond new film, Doody acted in a tiny portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody played Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fantasy show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her greatest role in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. In the year 1991, Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. When she moved to Hollywood Doody was a star. She took over Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. Then she played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody came back to acting in 2003 when she played a minuscule part on The Actors, a British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. The year 2004, she starred alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. in 2010 Doody shot a part of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). In 2011, she was to take on the role of lead on The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons.
