Marcia Harvey
Marcia Harvey is an African American
author. She is well-known for her ex-wife of the comedian Steve Harvey. Marcia
Harvey has a quiet life, preferring to stay out of being a target for the
media. Even though Steve hadn't even reached anywhere close to the success
which he is enjoying now and they were married for 14 years. The reasons behind
the couple's split weren't known, and rumors have always been heard in
Hollywood. Some claim that Steve Harvey is cheating while some blame him for
choosing comedy as his career. The tragic story of her life can be attributed
to Steve's neglect of her and her two daughters while she was expecting with
her third baby. Despite all her hardships, she has made an impressive career
out of fashion design and also in writing. Her works include "Marcia: Eyes

Heart". Children are inspired by her generosity and kindness. There is not
much information about Marcia Harvey's childhood, aside from the fact she was
born into an African American family and were not wealthy. She began her career
at a department store named 'Saks Fifth Avenue'. Steve was introduced to her at
a reception party for a friend of a mutual acquaintance a few years later. The
two met and fell in love. They were married in 1980. Steve was an insurance
agent at the time. The couple were blessed with twin daughters in 1982. Steve
was unhappy with his work and decided to be entertainer, particularly stand-up
comedy. Marcia and Steve experienced a lot conflict and reports later suggested
that they were starting to separate. A large part of the fame and success of
Marcia Harvey was due to her marriage and divorce from Steve Harvey. Although
the reasons for their divorce in 1994 have been kept a secret, there is no denying
that Marcia was expecting their third child at the time things fell apart.
Marcia was finally able to file for divorce in 1993. Marcia had to go to the
law following her divorce and Steve Harvey's rejection of child support and
alimony payments.
