Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on
August 26 2002. He is known as Lil Tecca. His 2019 single "Ransom",
was his first major hit. It reached the top spot at 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The mixtape he released as his debut We Love You Tecca (2019) included the
track. It reached fourth place in the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also
featured singles Love Me and Did It Again. The debut album of his studio
titled"Virgo" (2020) which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200.
It also included the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Dolly"
and "When You Down". His second mixtape "We Love You Tecca
2", was released in August 2021. It featured "Repeat It" as well
as "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was the son of Jamaican
immigrants. He was born August 26 2002 in Queens, New York City. Sharpe was
born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, after which he moved to Cedarhurst on Long
Island. From a young age, Sharpe had aspirations of playing in the NBA however,
at the age of 12, he turned his attention to pursuing a career in music. Sharpe
attended Lawrence High School. Tecca was nine years old at the age, was rapping
alongside his peers using his Xbox to record. The two would make diss tracks
about each other. One of them was uploaded on SoundCloud some time ago, but it
has since been removed. The singer initially didn't intend to pursue a career
in music however, he had a dream of becoming a NBA star. When he was in middle
school however, he started to become bored with basketball and started taking
music seriously. His first single, "Tectri", which was a hit in early
2017 was made with Lil Gummybear and released in collaboration. Lil Gummybear.
The other tracks he has released include "Callin" and
"Tectri". His smash hit single "Ransom," which was first uploaded
to Cole Bennett's Lyrical lemonade YouTube channel on May 22 of 2019, began the
meteoric rise of Tecca. The track ranked 4 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The
track has received over 990 million Spotify listeners and more than 300 million
YouTube views.
