Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was born on September
7, 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a stage
writer and actor, while her mother, Sara Wood is an actress and acting coach.
Her older brothers are Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David Wood IV who are also
actors. Evan and her brothers acted in the Theatre In The Park, Raleigh in the
same place where her father serves as the director. At the age five she was
screened against Kirsten Dunst for the leading role in Interview with the Vampire:
The Vampire Chronicles (1994) following a lengthy audition process. She moved
to Los Angeles with her mom and brother Ira in the year 1996. She has enjoyed
success since then acting in television series, TV films and feature films.
Tracy was her character in Practical Magic (1998) as well as in S1m0ne (2002
the child of Al Pacino). Holly Hunter followed with Thirteen (2004). Her

younger sister. She has been trained in dance. She loves to dance or sing, play
the rollblade and horseback ride. She has the black belt from tae Kwon Do. She
has kept in contact with most of her Once and Again (1999) castmates: Mischa
Barton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
